Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She's now an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The actress was the sole child of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. In her early teens, Alexandra played the leading character in various dramas on television. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like the role of Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the critically and commercially successful Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex as well as The Reader are also Oscar-nominated films starring this stunning actress. Through the years, Alexandra was involved in numerous notable international and national projects. Among others, these projects include British Biographical Film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many others. Additionally, she was an active member of The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
