Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed in film and TV is well known for movies like Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. As the sole daughter of Romanian actors Valentin Platareanu Alexandra, she entered the show business at an early age and was being the lead in a variety of shows on television by the time she reached the age of 16. Her acclaimed and critically acclaimed performance in the made-for-television film Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including the role of the secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the commercially and critically highly successful Oscar nominated war-time drama film Downfall.
