Aisling was born on 16 March 1984 at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's top-rated and popular comedians. She was on QI, alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, more popularly known as the stage name Aisling Bea (born March 16, 1984), is an Irish writer, actress and stand-up comedian. Bea was first seen as a part-time actress in Irish or British television programs in 2009, started her career by performing stand-up comedy in the year 2011. She began appearing regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms later in the year. She began appearing regularly on panel shows after winning an award at The Edinburgh Comedy Awards. Between 2016 and 2017, she served as a captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats and is a frequent contestant on the sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Born in the family of Brian O'Sullivan, the actress is the mother of one sister called Sinead. She was only the second ever female winner of So You Think You're Funny. Bea is her maiden name in honor of her deceased father. Aisling O'Sullivan, also referred to as Cliodhnadh Aisling was born in Kildare town, which is located in County Kildare. Bea's father Brian passed away at age three. He was an equine vet. Bea wasn't told the specifics of his passing to death until she was 13 years old. Bea was her stage name. Bea was in tribute to her father. Bea wrote an opinion piece in The Guardian, published in 2017 on her journey of suicide. Bea's mother Helen, who is also a jockey-trainer and former pro jockey was in charge of the care of her daughter as well as Sinead. The family was obsessed with racing and horses. Bea was a guide at her family's involvement at the Irish National Stud in her young teens. However, she knew it wasn't something she wanted to do as a profession and preferred to perform.
